The fourth meeting of the Standing Group of Experts on African Swine Fever took place on 24 May 2016 in Paris, in the margins of the 84th OIE General Session. The main purpose of the SGE4 meeting was to discuss any new development with regards to ASF epidemiology in the region as well as to hear from the countries the state of play of their control efforts carried out since the SGE ASF3.

As per the SGE ASF3 recommendations, Moldova and Romania joined the initiative together with the other seven participating countries.
