The seventh meeting of the Regional Steering Committee of the GF-TADs took place in Nairobi, Kenya on 16 – 17 July 2012. The Director of the Inter-African Bureau of Animal Resources of the African Union, (AU-IBAR) Professor. Ahmed El-Sawalhy welcomed participants and thanked the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

 At the meeting the Steering Committee of the GF-TADs for Africa recommended that: 1) The Regional GF-TADs for Africa 5-year Action plan drafted by the secretariat be reviewed by GF-TADs members, finalized and approved by OIE, FAO and AU-IBAR; 2) The framework of GF-TADs for Africa promotes the elaboration and cooperation on integrated regional strategies.
