The sixth meeting of the Regional Steering Committee of the GF-TADs took place in Nairobi, Kenya, on 4-5 April 2011. At the meeting the Regional Steering Committee of the GF-TADs for Africa recommended that: The FAO and the OIE, with the support of other regional organisations, ensure follow-up to countries answer to the Rinderpest virus sequestration questionnaire as soon as possible in order to engage properly the post eradication phase and that the main outcomes of the answer to those questionnaires be shared with relevant stakeholders.  Also, it was recommended that the OIE explore the feasibility to include a critical competency supporting the Rinderpest post-eradication effort within the OIE PVS Evaluation tool.
