6th GF-TADs Regional Steering Committee for the Americas (RSC6 Americas)

The sixth Regional Steering Committee of the GF-TADs for the Americas (RSC6 Americas) was held in Santiago de Chile, Chile on 23 July 2012. The main recommendation to come from the meeting was to draw up a ‘Plan of Action’ for the GF-TADs in the Americas region.

The objective of the GF-TADs is to help the continental and regional level in the coordination of actions against transboundary animal diseases (ENTRAS). The GF-TADs is a coordination mechanism between World and Regional International Organizations whose objective is to stimulate synergies and approaches for the coordination of actions in the fight against ENTRAS, in order to avoid overlaps, duplications or counter-dictations in the health policies and actions in the region.
