10th GF-TADs Global Steering Committee (GSC10)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) co-organized the 10th Global Steering Committee Meeting (GSC10) of GF-TADs, which was held in Rome on 13 - 14 November 2018.

The purpose of the GSC10 was to discuss the outcomes of the Joint FAO-OIE Evaluation of the Global Framework for Transboundary Animal Diseases (GF-TADs) activities and to exchange together on a vision for the future of the GF-TADs.  The meeting offered opportunity to provide an update on the progress of the Global PPR Eradication Programme, the Global Strategy for FMD control and the Rinderpest post-eradication programme, as well as an update on the current situation of African swine fever. The session concluded with an overview and agreed adjustments to the drafted recommendations.
