The second SADC Roadmap Meeting for Pest des petits ruminants (PPR) took place in Lusaka, Zambia from 12 to 14 March 2019. The meeting was organized by FAO, OIE and AU-IBAR in collaboration with the Southern African Development Community and the authorities of Zambia. The meeting was held in English.

The first regional roadmap meeting for the control and eradication of PPR for Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries took place in Harare (Zimbabwe) from 12 to 13 October 2016. Accordingly, the SADC PPR eradication strategy was updated in line with the PPR Global Control and Eradication Strategy (PPR-GCES) endorsed during the FAO-OIE International Conference held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from 31 March to 2 April 2015.
