The SGE ASF9 took place on 22-23 March 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine. All Member countries attended (Russian partially attended by videoconference) as well as seven additional observer countries, at the invitation of Dr B. Van Goethem, President of the GF-TADs for Europe.

Presentations focused on each countries' situation since the SGE ASF8 (Moldova, September 2017).  The SGE ASF Country Reports of Czech Republic and Romania were presented and adopted. Technical presentations were provided on cross border cooperation, addressing the irregular and illegal movements of pigs and their products. Presentations were delivered by experts from the World Customs Organisation (T. Hesselink), EC/DG F (J. McEvoy). The two cases of the Czech Republic and Romania provided a in-depth and relevant illustration of the current situation.
