The Progressive Control Pathway for Foot and Mouth Disease control (PCP-FMD). Principles, Stage Descriptions and Standards.

The Progressive Control Pathway for Foot and Mouth Disease (PCP-FMD) has been developed by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and EuFMD (European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease) to assist and facilitate FMD endemic countries to progressively reduce the impact of the disease and the load of FMD virus. The PCP-FMD approach has been adopted by FAO and OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health) as a working tool in the design of FMD country (and some regional) control programmes.
